Everything Claude Can Do

Everything Claude Can Do

Claude Pro gives you access to six different ways of working. They are not separate tools: they are different modes of the same assistant, each designed for a different type of task.

Chat

Basic conversation. Available on web, iOS, and Android. No memory between sessions.

Use it for: quick questions, drafting content to copy-paste, brainstorming.

Note: Chat works without any setup. But Cowork with context files always produces sharper, more on-brand results.

Projects

A named workspace inside Claude chat. Upload a context file and every conversation in that project starts with your business context already loaded.

Create an “Adam Bike HQ” project. Upload your context file. Every chat inside it knows your brand voice, prices, and customers.

Projects vs Cowork
Projects load context in chat. Cowork loads context with real file execution. For writing tasks where you want to copy-paste the result, use a Project. For tasks involving actual files and workflows, use Cowork.

Cowork

Your agent workspace. Claude reads your folder, makes a plan, and works through multi-step tasks independently. See the full Cowork setup guide for everything you need to get started.

Use it for: anything that involves files, multi-step tasks, or automation.

Research

Enable the Research toggle in any conversation. Claude spends 5 to 30 minutes reading dozens of web sources, then returns a structured report with citations.

Use it for: market analysis, competitor research, trend reports, supplier research.

Research prompt for Adam BikeResearch the Dubai cycling market: How many people cycle regularly? What areas have infrastructure? Is e-bike adoption growing? What is the typical buyer profile for Dutch-style city bikes in the UAE? Include sources.

Schedule

The /schedule command inside Cowork. Set recurring tasks and Claude runs them automatically on your timeline.

Your computer must be on and Claude Desktop must be open for scheduled tasks to run.

Examples:

/schedule weekly on Sunday at 7pm:
Write 5 Instagram captions for next week. Save to my Content folder.
/schedule weekly on Monday at 8am:
Read my Shopify sales for the past 7 days. Summarize and save.

The Automate page goes deeper on everything Schedule can do.

Skills

Reusable instructions for specific tasks. Use /skill-creator to build one.

A skill is a specialist who has done your exact job before. After you create a Caption Writer skill, Claude uses it automatically every time you ask for captions. You stop explaining the format, tone, and rules every time.

Skills to build for Adam Bike:

  • Caption Writer: voice, format, hashtag rules for Instagram
  • Customer Reply: warmth level, reply length, when to mention BNPL
  • Shopify Analyzer: four fixed checkpoints for every sales review

Plugins

Bundles of Skills, slash commands, and Connectors packaged together. Install them in: Claude Desktop → Settings → Customize → Plugins → Browse.

Relevant plugins for Adam Bike:

  • Marketing: content calendar, caption commands, brand voice tools. /marketing:caption generates a caption per your brand guidelines. /marketing:content-calendar drafts your week in one command.
  • Productivity: daily workflow, tasks, and calendar. /productivity:start reviews your day every morning.
  • Data Analysis: /data:explore on any CSV file. Claude analyzes it automatically before you tell it what to look for.

Connectors

Live integrations via MCP (Model Context Protocol). Claude reads live data directly from your tools. No CSV export, no uploading.

The one connector worth setting up first:

  • Shopify: Claude reads your live order data, inventory, and revenue. Ask “What were my top-selling bikes last month?” and get an answer without exporting anything.
